Cancellation Policy

I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In keeping with my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, it has become necessary for me to establish clear cancellation policies.

I absolutely hate turning away any of my excellent clients because I am fully booked, but from time to time this does occur.  The cancellation polices will keep space available in my schedule for those who really need it, as I will only book services with those that are certain they need me and accept that cancellation policies apply should they need to cancel.  

Visits/Walks: 

If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice, you will be charged the full base rate of the visit. 

Overnights:

Reservations operate on a first-come, first-served basis. When fully booked, I may decline additional requests to prevent overbooking. To avoid charges, overnight cancellations should be made at least 14 days before the scheduled service. Cancelling within 14 days incurs a 50% charge. For Holiday overnight cancellations see further details below.

No Shows: 

If your pet is not home when there is a scheduled Visit/Walk, you will be charged the full base rate of the visit. 

Last Minute Reservations/Alterations

Last minute things happen and I will do my best to assist with your needs. Because my schedule needs to be reviewed and shuffled to accommodate last minute pet sitting appointments, a charge will be applied;

Visits/Walks: 

When an appointment is requested within 2 days (48hrs.) of said appointment, a $5 charge will be applied to each visit.

Overnights:

When an appointment is requested within 2 days of said appointment, a $20
charge
will be applied to the first 2 days of your pet sitting appointment.

Extended Absence:  

In the event you have to be away longer than planned, there will be a $20 charge added to each additional Overnight.

 

$5 per additional visit as needed.

Early Return:

I understand that things happen that cause plans to change. Once I have scheduled, confirmed, and begun your pet sitting appointment, No credits will be given for visits cancelled due to a client’s early return home. Clients returning home early will be required to pay for the reserved number of visits. 

Holidays: 

Due to high demand during the holidays, cancellations for all scheduled holiday visits, including overnight reservations, must be made at least 30 DAYS PRIOR to the first date of service to avoid a charge. Cancellations made within 30 days of the first holiday visit will be subject to a charge equal to 50% of the scheduled visits. Full charges will apply to cancellations made in 14 DAYS OR LESS.

It is very important that I take great care of my clients. The cancellation policies ensure fairness to all involved.
